Céréa Partenaire completes the acquisition of Organic Alliance alongside a reinforced management
Organic Alliance is a leading BtoB specialist in 100% organic, fresh and ultra-fresh products through its two main subsidiaries, Pronatura and Vitafrais. As an implicated and responsible actor, Organic Alliance animates a network of thousands of food producers and transformers, anchored in their traditional territories in France and abroad.
Led by Lionel Wolberg and with more than 250 employees, the group has achieved strong historical growth and saw sales of roughly €M 230 in 2016.
Since its creation in 1987, Pronatura, which was acquired by Naxicap Partners and Lionel Wolberg in 2014, has enjoyed strong dynamism driven by market growth and the deployment of a virtuous strategy based on close proximity to production and consumption basins: opening platforms in Nantes, Strasbourg and more recently Toulouse in 2017, in addition to its largest platform at the Rungis Organic Center in December 2015. Pronatura has also been operating in Spain since 2016 though a Madrid-based subsidiary.
Vitafrais, a leading player in organic, fresh and ultra-fresh products since 2001, has seen strong development since its acquisition by Organic Alliance mid-2016, notably through the structuring of its offer and its product lines.
"We are very pleased to support Organic Alliance and its team in its ambitious vision for the development of a 100% organic sector built on bringing meaning and societal value."Gilles Sicard, Executive Managing Director with Céréa Partenaire.
"The organic sector is growing steadily these past years, driven by consumer demand for healthier, better quality and traceable products. This growth calls for the rapid and strong structuring of market actors both in France and abroad."Lionel Wolberg, President of Organic Alliance.
"These three years together made it possible to strengthen the image of Pronatura and, with the integration of Vitafrais, to position the Group in the universe of organic brands promoting the development of the segment."Virginie Lambert, Partner with Naxicap Partners.
Financing of the transaction is completed by a Unitranche subscribed by Idinvest and Céréa Partenaire.
